THE REGULATIONS OF THE FORT TRAILS BIKE PARK IN PRZEMYŚL 

 

 

The FORT TRAILS bike park in Przemyśl (hereinafter referred to as the Complex) located in the area of Zniesienie is administered by the Przemyski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji, hereinafter referred to as the Administrator.

 

I. GENERAL RULES

  1. The Regulations of the Complex, hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations", specify the rules and manner of use of the Complex and its equipment well as the area in which it is located,
  2. The FORT TRAILS Complex includes the following routes:
    • FAMILIJNA - difficulty level: Easy, marked: Blue
    • FLOW - difficulty level: medium difficult, marked: Red
    • TAF - difficulty level: medium difficult, marked: Red
    • NORTH SHORE - difficulty level: difficult, marked: Black
    • DH - difficulty level: very difficult, marked: Orange
    • JUMP LINE - difficulty level: very difficult, marking: Orange
    • All trails are one-way trials!
  3. All persons using the Complex are obliged to read these Regulations and strictly comply with the provisions contained therein.
  4. The Complex is open from dawn till dusk, except for the decisions in the form of an announcement by the Administrator and/or the entity that implements the contract regarding the keeping of the correct and safe condition of the mountain bike trails. Using the Complex during the period when the trails are closed means the infringement of the provisions of the Regulations. The decision about closing of the trails must appear in the form of a notice posted in places visible to users, except in the case of emergency, when it is impossible to disseminate the notices. Emergency situations are understood as unexpected and unforeseen deterioration of weather conditions, posing a threat to users, in particular:
    • sudden thunderstorm
    • sudden heavy rains
    • sudden hailstorm
    • sudden gusty wind.
  5. The message about the closure of individual trails or the entire Complex is required to be placed in places visible to users by the entity implementing the contract of maintenance of the Complex, i.e .:
    • noticeboard at the start of the uphill trail,
    • noticeboard at the so-called vantage point
    • website www.forttrails.pl
    • if a given trail is closed - the noticeboard at the start of the trail.
  6. The FORT TRAILS complex is closed in situations threatening the safety and quality of the Complex's infrastructure, as well as during forestry works in the immediate vicinity of bicycle trails. The Complex is closed for winter, especially during the thaws (closure periods depend on the weather conditions).
  7. It is forbidden to use the bicycle trails in situations that pose a safety risk for users. Avoid using the trails if sudden changes in weather occur (storms, gusty winds, etc.). The Administrator is not responsible for damages caused by such changes,in weather conditions.
  8. Persons staying in the Complex who violate public order and good manners, pose a threat to other people in the Complex, as well as persons who do not comply with the provisions of the Regulations may be removed from the Complex, regardless of any other liability.
  9. It is strictly forbidden to:
    • bring and consume intoxicants and other various stimulant drugs,
    • allow people whose condition indicates that they are under the influence of intoxicants and other various stimulant drugs enter to the area of the Complex,
    • walk a dog without a lead,
    • cycle without a protective headgear,
    • ride a bicycle with defective parts,
    • make any modification to or reconstruct any parts of the trails,
    • destroy the infrastructure of the FORT TRAILS Complex,
    • destroy nature,
    • drop litter,
    • start a fire, smoke cigarettes - outside the places designated for this purpose,
    • climb, lead dogs and run on trails,
    • ride a bike in the direction opposite to the trail direction,
    • cycle uphill (if the trail is not intended for this),
    • ride a bike off trails.

 

II. SAFETY RULES

  1. The specificity of cycling sports requires caution, fitness and appropriate skills level. Inevitable falls can have unpredictable health consequences, also leading to permanent damage to health or even loss of life. People who consciously decide to use the bike trails in the FORT TRAILS Complex does so at their own risk and responsibility!
  2. The bike trails can be used by anyone who has a fully operated mountain bicycle (necessarily with 2 efficient brakes and at least a front shock absorber), a helmet and all necessary protective pads.
  3. The FORT TRAILS Complex can be used by persons under the age of 18 only with the consent and under the supervision of the parents or legal guardians. Parents/legal guardians are responsible for the safety of their children or children under their care. The parent or legal guardian is obliged to read the content of the Regulations.
  4. Bikers using the FORT TRAILS Complex are required to use certified bicycle helmets on each of the bicycle trail. It is recommended to use helmets with full face protection and long gloves, elbow, knee and spine protectors (turtle), and a neck brace.
  5. Bikers using the bike trails should behave in a manner that does not pose a threat to other users of the trails.
  6. During riding on the trails you can stop only in designated areas.
  7. Before you start riding, you should get acquainted with its course on the map and on site. If you check a trail on site, it is absolutely necessary to be careful and not to disturb the use of the trail by other people.
  8. Before you start riding in the morning, you should be extremely careful, because there may be dangerous tree branches blown by the wind on it. If you encounter this type of danger, remove it from the trail or inform he Administrator about it.
  9. If you see any damage to any of the obstacles on the trail, immediately inform the Administrator about it to be repaired as soon as possible.
  10. Keep a safe distance from the rider in front of you.
  11. Driving speed should be adjusted to the difficulty of the trail section, to your skills and the number of bikers on the trail.
  12. At the intersection of bicycle trials with forest roads and tourist trails, you should slow down, exercise particular caution and pay attention to other people being in this place.
  13. In the event of an accident, each of the users being nearby should help the injured person.
  14. Each person using the FORT TRAILS bike park is required to have ID documents or an emergency information card with personal data, including the number of the person to be notified in the event of an accident. The card or documents should be placed in an easily accessible place (e.g. in the right front trouser pocket or in the easily accessible pocket of a backpack).
  15. It is forbidden to use the Complex's trails after dusk and in situations where the Administrator decides to close the trails placing the appropriate notices.

 

III.  TRAIL SIGNS

IV. COMMERCIAL USE OF THE COMPLEX

  1. Each person or institution wishing to use the Complex commercially, including to organize sports competitions, photo sessions or video recordings, and other commercial and profit-making activities, in particular in the form of advertising, should obtain the Administrator's permission.
  2. The Administrator of the Complex reserves the right to use, free of charge, any recordings and interviews with the participation of the Complex users or their photos and to publish the results of the competition in the mass media. This will not constitute a breach of the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act of August 29, 1997. (Journal of Laws 133, item 883).
  3. Every person or institution wishing to use the Complex for the commercial purpose should inform other participants of the Complex about this fact by posting legible, warning notice in a visible place, in front of the place where the activities are performed.

 

V. LIABILITY 

  1. The Administrator in not liable for any accidents and events resulting from non-compliance with the provisions of the Regulations.
  2. The Administrator is not liable for any damages suffered by users during the use of bike trails of the Complex, including crash, collisions and accidents.
  3. The Administrator is not liable for any rider`s items which are lost, stolen or damaged in the Complex.
  4. People use the Complex on their own responsibility!
  5. Users undertake to comply with the provisions of the Complex Regulations as well as orders of the staff appointed by the Administrator and other public security staff and to behave in accordance with the principles of social coexistence, keeping high standards of personal culture and the principle of fair play.
  6. Users of the Complex waive the right to claim damages or other claims against the Administrator for damage suffered during the use of the Complex. Therefore, the Administrator and all persons cooperating with it are not liable for the user`s personal, material and property damages that occur while using the Complex.
  7. All bicycle riders are prohibited from riding off-trail and outside of opening hours and they ride at their own risk - the Administrator does not bear any responsibility for such use of the Complex.
  8. Users of the Complex are financially responsible for the destruction or damage to any elements of the Complex.
  9. Entering the FORT TRAILS bike park means the acceptance of the provisions of the Regulations!
  10. Ignorance of the Regulations, despite common access to it, cannot be considered as a reason for making any claims against the Administrator by the users of the Complex .
  11. During the events organized in the Complex, the provisions of the Regulations and the Rules of the event are apply.
  12. Any matters not regulated by the Regulations shall be settled by the Administrator of the Complex.
  13. The Administrator has the right to forbid to use the Complex without giving a reason.
  14. The hiking paths are crossed by bike trails, therefore the users of the hiking paths must be very careful!
  15. Remember to adjust the speed to your skill level and bile trail conditions! Mountain biking carries a significant risk to health and safety! Use the trails reasonably - to prevent hurting anybody!

 

ATTENTION!

All users should be aware of the risks associated with doing sports and recreation in forest areas, as well as with the mountain bike trails. You should take into account all the circumstances that may affect riding safety, in particular weather conditions, trail condition, topography, vehicle and pedestrian traffic, forestry work, as well as your own health and your fitness. On mountain paths you can encounter various types of natural and artificial obstacles such as: leaves, roots, stones, branches, bumps, tight bends, water, mud, etc. It is recommended that the person using the trails have an accident insurance and general liability insurance, including sports.

 

The bike trials are owned by the city of Przemyśl.
